seems DH and i cannot get in sync with each other. most years come March or April, i have motivation coming out my ears to get to work on a new home improvement project, DH usually needs a push. this year i could care less if we get anything done, while DH is going gang busters on his (very old) list of honey do’s.
he has rimmed out both of the exterior doors(one of them was installed in 2004 and the other in 2007), built us a beautiful big bedroom closet and installed the rods and shelves, built drawers for my craft area cabinets, and finished up a handful of other little odds and ends that needed to be done.
now i have been doing my part, but really only because he is pushing me along. this is like bizarro world at our house. i am usually the one pushing him to get his part done, not the one who would rather curl up with a book on the couch instead of working…..
life is strange sometimes.

i had the perfect summer day today. the alarm went off at 8:00 (a whole extra 90 minutes of sleep). i showered and grabbed a piece of fruit and water on my way out the door for “work it out” at church…..yes i shower before i exercise….i know i am weird. i was the only one to show up for class today so i got one on one time with the instructor (my good friend Deb) and she helped me with my form on some of the different moves she has us perform (bonus). then home to shower AGAIN. after i was cleaned up i couldn’t decide what to do in my clean empty house, so i curled up with a the book i snagged at the library earlier that week, oh yeah, i enjoyed my spinach…strawberry…nectarine smoothie while i read. then after about an hour of reading my DH showed up and whisked me out the door to window shop, and plan for up coming birthdays. by the time we got back home the boys were home and we all worked on various “projects” around the house. this included a detailed cleaning of E’s room which was desperately needed. then DH took me out to my favorite little Mexican restaurant for dinner….and he let me choose the movie for tonight….what a great guy i have.
doesn’t get much better than that……Oh yeah I forgot to mention that E decided to use some of his free time to weed in my front flower beds…..what a doll child he can be when he wants. i payed him $2 for helping with out being asked….it was worth it as i ABHOR weeding.

Andrew is beautiful. he has a perfectly shaped head, and he got the nose fat roll that Sam had when she was born….so cute. he almost makes me regret or decision not to have any more kids.

E at 3 years old
while driving down the road one day my little E was making faces and funny noises, so i looked over my shoulder at him and said: “E your so crazy”, he immediately responded. “momma, i’m not crazy, i’m just a little unwell…i know momma right now you can’t tell…”
that song (by Matchbox 20) had been playing on the radio, and apparently it struck a chord for my little guy. it was just so cute to hear that come out of his mouth.
