Andrew Charles made his appearance.  for this i am very thankful.  he was born 7-8-9 at 9:34pm, weighed  in at 9lbs 1oz and was 21 inches long.  mom and baby are healthy and happy, and his big sisters couldn’t be more proud!

thank you Lord for life, we know you give it and you take it away in your time.  thank you for Andrew and the blessing of his life. you are the creator of all, you move your hand and mountains form, you are Lord God Almighty and we praise Your Name.

two things on my mind today.

1.  my sil Bonnie is due to have her 3rd baby today.  she is very ready for this boy to make an appearence so if you could remember her for the next couple of days that would be awesome.

2.  i need to find a greater measure of grace for those i interact with in my job situation.  i am finding myself to be very harsh in my judgements of clients and the things they dare to request.  i need to find a softer spot with in me that can shrug it off and go on about my day instead of dwelling on it and being frustrated by it.  i need to find this before i start responding to these people in a harsh manner.

thanks! i appreciat the help in this area.

on   fathers day we dropped both of our boys off at camp.  they stayed for a week, and had a great time.  E, our 9 year old did all the things 9′s like to do while at camp….swimming, running, playing 4 square, eating junk food….he says it was a great week.  Our 13 yr old chose to spend his week at the ranch with the horses (and all the girls). when we dropped him off we were told that N and his 2 buddies from church were the only boys at the ranch, there would be 22 girls.  I joked with my girlfriend that the poor girls were going to have a miserable week because our 3 boys had showed no interest in girls (AT ALL) to this point. their usual interest leans to video games and starwars battles with sticks in the back yard. what i should have realized that this was going to be a life changing week for my boy.

all he talked about the whole way home was “this girl” says this, and “that girl” did that.  and now it’s, “can i spend time on facebook?”, “i need to send a message to “this girl”", or” “that girl” gave me her phone number”.

WHATS a mom to do?  i always thought this transition from boy to teen would happen gradually, but we just got slammed into in by a week of camp.  i do think it’s really cute though.
